NetHotels Travel Technology was founded by Hans J. and Brigitte Pfisterer. At the same time NetHotels Vienna (the incoming travel agency) was opened.

1996

January

The NetHotels ReServer 1.0 went online - the first real central reservation system in Austria. All 312 categorized Viennese hotels were online for booking in the Internet! 10 member hotels update their data directly online.

1997	May	Participation in the international invitation to tender for a computer reservation system for the Vienna Tourist Board.
	September	The NetHotels ReServer 2.0 was put online. This new generation platform added many new features. All 450 Viennese hotels can be booked online, 30 member hotels actualize their data online.
	December	After careful investigation the Vienna Tourist Board selects the NetHotels ReServer system.

1998	January	Successful trial run of Wien-Hotels (the reservation center of the Vienna Tourist Board).
	February	Wien-Hotels (service of Vienna Tourist Board) in full operation. Reservations in more than 180 Viennese hotels are directly possible online! Number of hotels wich themselves update their data online increases to 40.
	March	NetHotels Innsbruck goes online.
	June	NetHotels Salzburg goes online.
	August	NetHotels online restaurant-database NetHotels ReServer Shop starts the merchandising of Products (Strauss Shop; Official Shop of the Viennese boys-choir,...).
	September	The Infocenter Auhof und Süd of the Vienna Tourist board is connected to NetHotels. With NetHotels Reserver Book all Viennese accommodations are bookable directly.
	November	Online ticket reservation and organisation of the 1st Traditional American Music & Dance Festivals with NetHotels in the Kurhalle Oberlaa, Vienna.

1999	January	NetHotels Ötztal goes online.
	February	NetHotels Graz und Thermenregion goes online.
	March	Start of the NetHotels Affiliate Program .
	April	Cooperation with Salzburger Nachrichten .
	May	NetHotels Kärnten goes online.
	September	Wien Hotels Online, the online reservation system of the Vienna tourist board goes online with NetHotels ReServer Software. Online event -calender with online ticket reservation (official event calender of the Vienna tourist board) NetHotels Budapest goes online as first international destination .
	October	NetHotels London goes online.

2000	August	NetHotels Kenya goes online.
	September	NetHotels is changed into NetHotels AG. NetHotels Lyon goes online. NetHotels Lisbon goes online. NetHotels Porto goes online. NetHotels Niederösterreich goes online. NetHotels Oberösterreich goes online. NetHotels Nordrhein Wesfalen goes online. NetHotels Niedersachsen goes online.

	April	Bodensee Vorarlberg Tourism signing up with NetHotels New ReServer Modules for AutoText and sending of brochures are released.
	May	The new NetHotels ReServer Shop goes online in Chemnitz. The Portuguese region of Rota da Luz signs up with NetHotels.
	Juni	Bodensee Vorarlberg Tourism launches its new Web that is powered with the ne Reserver Nexs XML interface. All 5 Oberharzer regions are signing up with NetHotels. NetHotels wins the tender for the design of the new Marketing-Planning-Controlling-Reporting- instrument for Tourism organisations.
	Juli	NetHotels introduces the new 1 Click Booking Vienna.
